Some argue that a progressive world requires coding. Teaching kids how to code is the standard that the current education system requires, but lacks. Codeverse, the company behind Kidscipt, is the world’s first coding school that creates an interactive educational platform for kids. If you know nothing about coding, the fact is – there’s a lot of different languages that exist and having a starting point can be difficult to chose from.
Teaching a child to learn a certain language and start coding hasn’t been standardized, so where do you go? The core concepts of all the different types of code languages have been placed into one, called Kidscript, which took 14 months to create just so a child can learn the fundamentals. Aside from a personal tutor, wouldn’t you agree that you’d wish this would have existed in your day? A technology-enabled classroom for kids ages 6 to 12.
Valued to be priceless (in our opinion), Katie Lynch, co-founder of Codeverse, has a mission to help educate one billion children. With a background that includes founding Chicago’s first social media marketing agency and being the former CEO of Tech Week, she’s an entrepreneur by definition, and a mogul by inspiration. Featured above is an episode of Learn to Code with Me, which offers a wealth of knowledge on teaching your own child how to code, featuring Katie Lynch herself. Further information regarding Codeverse can be found here, although unfortunately the curriculum is only offered in Chicago for the time being.
